Pharmacy Compliance Welcome Packet
- How to contact the pharmacy:
- Call 207-396-7534 Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm for any question regarding your medications. A Pharmacist will be on duty during normal business hours to answer any questions regarding your prescription including order status, claims related inquiries.
- Please contact your physician or the pharmacist with any side effects.
- We will directly contact you with any medication recalls that pertain to medications you have taken.
- How to obtain a refill medication:
- For refills please contact your physician at 207-396-7600 or the pharmacy at 207-396-7534.
- How to transfer a Rx to a different pharmacy.
- Have the pharmacy you wish to transfer call us at 207-396-7534.
- How to destroy hazardous medications properly.
- You can bring your unused hazardous medications to our office and they will be destroyed of properly or contact the town you reside in for info on a medication take back dates.
- Receiving your medication in a timely matter.
- If you are unable to pick up your medication we are able to FedEx medications to Maine only addresses next day M-F. Please contact us with any shipping delays or missed deliveries 207-396-7534.
- We currently service only patients that are seeing one of our practitioners at any of our current locations in Brunswick, Kennebunk or Scarborough.
- We will attempt to have your medication done one week prior to your next cycle depending on the treatment plan. Please call us if you have not heard from the pharmacy or your physician's team regarding your medication.
- We are currently enrolled in the majority of Rx plans and will facilitate in finding you a network pharmacy if needed.
- If we do not stock the medication for any reason we will facilitate in finding you access to that particular medication.
- If you are having any medication needs or concerns that are obstructing therapy please contact us so we can connect with your current client/patient advocate.
- Patient rights and responsibilities.
- A copy of the patient's rights and responsibilities can be found on our website newenglandcancerspecialists.org or at the pharmacy. This was also a part of the patient notebook that you received at your consult visit.
- How to report a complaint.
- You can contact our compliance officer Stephanie Thebarge at thebas@newecs.org or by phone at 207-396-7600, Pharmacy manager Steven D'Amato at damats@newecs.org or by phone at 207-396-7600 and directly to the consumer assistant specialist at the Maine Board of Pharmacy at 207-624-8621.
- Emergency Preparedness
- If we are not open due to inclement weather this will be reflected on public closures and our facebook page. If we are non-operational for a substantial part of time we have a back up pharmacy that can be used to provide your medication without any interruption.
