Dr. Benton grew up in Connecticut, and went to college in Appleton, Wisconsin, where he studied physics. David obtained his medical degree at the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. He then spent seven years at Brown University Medical Center in Providence, RI, where he completed his residency, chief residency, and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. He is also board-certified in Palliative and Hospice Medicine.
David Benton sees patients in the Brunswick office of New England Cancer Specialists. He focuses on treatment of lymphoma, and cancers of the lung, prostate and GI tract.
He has traveled extensively, living in Poland for two years and working in Kenya during his residency. He moved to Maine in 2007 with his wife and two sons.
